“NAM MÔ”

Directed by La Zung

Our Music Video of the Week tells the story of a young woman at her fathers funeral: “NAM MÔ” by artist La Zung. The music video is directed by the artist himself La Zung and produced by Studio Noah @studionoahofficial

Nam Mô portrays a contemporary performance, using non-stop choreography and a single long take. It shares the story of a young woman at her fathers funeral – a man who used to abuse her and her mother. While their faces are bruised, the rest of the family wails in grief, while the daughter dances. For her, the dance is a celebration of her father’s death, as it seems to be the only way she and her mother can escape the cycle of domestic violence. The clip is part of a series of 4 music videos, filmed in only 2 days by the production company @studionoahofficial. Nam Mô is a well executed video with beautiful shots and expression.
